  • Political exposure

  • Credit defaults

  • Conflicts of interest

  • Regulatory violations

KPMG IS HIRING : ASSOCIATE - II

Qualification & Required skills: 

• Educational Background: BE/B.Tech, B.Com, BCA, B.Sc, MBA, M.Sc, MCA, M.Tech, or CA.

• Experience: 1–4 years of relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within a Big 4 firm.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Conduct external audits in accordance with PCAOB (Public Company Accounting Oversight Board) Auditing Standards.

• Assist in process understanding discussions with clients to assess technology-related risks and identify control gaps

• Evaluate and document the design and operational effectiveness of technology controls (GITCs and ITACs) relevant to internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR)

• Support in performing SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 2+ (HITRUST) assessments in compliance with SSAE18 standards issued by the AICPA.

• Participate in internal trainings, audit methodology learning, and innovation initiatives involving emerging audit tools and technologies.

• Engage in the firm’s strategic and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

• Take ownership of client assignments and demonstrate flexibility in work arrangements.

• Coach and support junior team members in their daily tasks and audit deliverables.

• Assist senior team members in reviewing audit workpapers in line with KPMG Audit Methodology.

• Identify performance improvement opportunities and communicate IT audit findings to senior stakeholders and clients.

• Maintain proactive communication with engagement leads and onshore teams regarding project status and deliverables.

Mandatory Technical & Functional Skills

• Experience in evaluating and testing process-level manual and automated controls.

• Familiarity with testing automated controls and General IT Controls across areas such as:

  • Access to Programs and Data

  • Program Development & Changes

  • Computer Operations (OS, Network, Database, Application platforms)

• Knowledge of industry standards and frameworks (e.g., COBIT, COSO, HIPAA).

• Basic understanding of business process cycles (e.g., Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay).

Preferred Technical & Functional Skills

• Interest in emerging technologies such as Cloud Computing, Agile, Blockchain, and Artificial Intelligence.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI.

• Relevant certifications (preferred): CISA, CISSP, HITRUST, ISO standards.
